As a result of the successful growth of our organization, we are now searching for a:
COMMUNITY MANAGER JAPAN
You will establish and maintain close collaborative working relationships withFoundation stakeholders mainly from the business sector in Japan. This includes engaging senior business executives as well as other stakeholders to participate inthe activities and initiatives of the World Economic Forum. You will develop and manage the strategic relationships with companies and government institutions from Japan. Additionally, you will serve as the Forum’s liaison with its institutional Partners as well as with other stakeholders in Japan.
The success of your role requires the careful monitoring and evaluation of business environment, media reports and policy changes that impact Japanese stakeholders and the Forum’s overall Japan strategy. In this context, you will also co-develop the official programme for the regional meetings as well as other related activities with the purpose of integrating the perspectives of top experts and leading decision-makers on regional and global issues, which will also inform the content of the Forum’s other major activities, such as the Annual Meeting in Davos.
You will join the Forum as part of our Global Leadership Fellows Programme (www.weforum.org/glf). As such, you will be fully integrated in the World Economic Forum and benefit from an intensive work and learning experience intended to develop and train future leaders of global enterprises and international organizations.
We expect you to exhibit demonstrated teamwork and a proactive personality; excellence in Japanese business, politics and culture; and a proven interest in global affairs. You possess a broad intellectual background with graduate level education in International Relations/Public Affairs or Business. You have three years of professional experience, preferably in the business sector. You must have native-level fluency in Japanese as well as English.
